PRO™

Whether you are a contractor, architect / designer, sales consultant or an Owner-Builder, PRO™ allows you to develop fast and accurate estimates. It is designed to help you stop wasting time doing detailed take off estimates or tracking down subcontractor quotes just to confirm a budget or home design cost.

PRO™ Features:

  • Costs for your location with 43,000+ zip codes in the US and Canada
  • Access Home-Cost software from any internet connection
  • See immediate What-If? cost impacts from changes to design & materials
  • Extensive design and material options get design specific
  • Patented estimating engine provides guaranteed accuracy
  • Over 350 lines of cost detail and ability to export to Excel®
  • Control length of account use and cancel anytime
  • PRO allows editing of unit prices and item descriptions
  • Comes with project management control panel to track project info

You are led step by step in making design choices necessary to accurately estimate the home. You can estimate at a conceptual level, without a firm home design (such as with early stage budgeting), or estimate at a final design stage with house plans (such as when validating bids). You can also estimate accurately at any stage in between.

As with FULL FUNCTION™, PRO™ allows What-If? evaluations of different design features or materials. Make a change and immediately see the cost impact of that or any other design decision. This is not available with any other residential cost estimating software.

PRO™ does not require you to develop and enter take-off quantities of materials or enter unit prices. It calculates quantities and costs based on “Assemblies of Construction.” Assemblies include items associated with the thing being estimated. For example a door assembly includes the door, frame, hardware, casing trim, finishing / painting, installation labor and sales tax.

NOTE: Costs in PRO™ are presented as a combined furnished and installed unit price for each Assembly item. Labor and material pricing are not individually shown.

Click the links below to download and view a sample Level 1, 2 or 3 cost report.

  • Level 1 Report : (±15 lines of detail) – Executive summary report of major construction categories.
  • Level 2 Report : (±70 lines of detail) – Costs summarized by construction sub-category.
  • Level 3 Report *: (±350 lines of detail) – Most detailed construction cost report itemized by line item and unit price.

Special Features:

PRO™ uses the same patented construction estimating software as FULL FUNCTION™, but provides you extra features. You have the ability to edit unit prices and descriptions, have any number of subscription based project accounts active at one time and you get a powerful control panel to manage your project information.

Edit Unit Prices: PRO™ allows you to edit “Assembly” unit prices and “Assembly” component descriptions to customize your estimate. Simply mouse over the item and edit. You can restore default unit prices any time. Just mouse over the unit price again and click “restore.”

Subscription Based: With payment of a one time setup fee of $99.00, PRO™ allows you to buy any number of project accounts on a subscription basis of only $24.50 per month per project. You control how many project accounts you want active at one time and for how long. Each month’s subscription is for up to a month’s period of use. (You can cancel any project any time in your control panel but there are no refunds for a partial month’s use).

Control Panel: Your master control panel is where you purchase or cancel project accounts. It also provides a 3-tab Project Information Panel to manage project information for each project account. Here you can name a project, track client contact information, design and construction team contact information along with other design and budget notes. Also, you can delete your session data or restore your session data file (previous estimate) all from this control panel
